[WoW Classic] How to farm 100 Gold Before you hit level 40
#1
In Classic Vanilla WoW a lot of players will find that their biggest setback will be getting their level 40 mount that costs about 100 gold. If you get to level 40 and you don’t have a lot of gold to afford the level 40 mount, you will find that not having that mount will slow you down a ton. Now there are things you can do while leveling that will help you tremendously in getting your mount, places to grind, areas to level in, what level you should be in certain areas and other stuff, which is exactly what we will show to you today.

Below we will cover a variety of zones and monsters in those zones that will both grant you large XP and gold.
NOTE: Keep in mind we do not take into account all the green / rare drops you may get from slaying these monsters.
It is also recommended that you get good bags so that you will have more inventory space and therefore not needing to go vendor that often. A great bag is the Runecloth Bag

Swamp of Sorrows

The first mob is the Swamp Jaguar which can be found in the Swamp of Sorrows at levels 36-38.

Item Drops:
Long Soft Tail
Bristly Whisker
Large Fang
Wicked Claw

Gold earned vendoring these grey items: 7g/hour.

--------------

The second mob is actually a group of mobs called the “Lost Ones”, there’s a camp of these in the northern side of the Swamp of Sorrows at levels 36-37.
Note: There are 2 chest spawns in the camps that these spawn in, these chests have a high green, blue drop rate, and a rare World item Drop rate. Therefore this grind spot is a lot more contested than the https://classic.wowhead.com/npc=767/swamp-jaguar spot, so keep that in mind.

Item Drops:
Long-barreled Musket
Silk Cloth
Hefty War Axe

Gold earned vendoring these grey items: 7g/hour.

Badlands

The mob is the Ridge Huntress, this mob can be found at levels 38-39 all over the Badlands. And yes this mob does have the same model as the Swamp Jaguar and it drops the same items.

Item Drops:
Long Soft Tail
Bristly Whisker
Large Fang
Wicked Claw

Gold earned vendoring these grey items: 7g/hour.

Stranglethorn Vale

The first mob is the Jungle Stalker that drops a huge amount of items and it adds up quickly, so we suggest you follow our tip at the start which is that you get good bags so that you will have more inventory space and therefore not needing to go vendor that often.

Item Drops:
Raptor Hide
Wicked Claw
Large Fang
Tribal Raptor Feathers
Smooth Raptor Skin
Raptor Flesh

Gold earned vendoring these grey items: 8g/hour.

The second mob is the Cold Eye Basilisk level 39-40 that also drops a huge amount of items that add up quickly, so we suggest you follow our tip at the start which is that you get good bags so that you will have more inventory space and therefore not needing to go vendor that often.

NOTE: The Cold Eye Basilisk have about a 1% drop chance for an item that is Cold Basilisk Eye that normally is on the auction house for 6-10g.

Item Drops:
Large Fang
Curved Basilisk Claw
Squishy Basilisk Eye
Intact Basilisk Spine
Large Basilisk Tail
Wicked Claw

Gold earned vendoring these grey items: 7g/hour.

You have now reached the end of this tiny gold making guide, we will now discuss a huge mistake that can be found in a lot of players while they’re leveling their characters, and that mistake is leveling skills.

Let’s say you make a new character. You do not want to waste gold on skills that you do not need during leveling or anywhere for that matter, for an example, hunters don’t need Mongoose Bite warlocks do not need Eye of Kilrogg, and so on.

Some spells are not needed in this game and/or during leveling, so do your research online or ask around what spells to train and what not to train.
